Did you know food and exercise can also affect your emotional well-being? Research shows a connection between unhealthy eating habits and poorer mental health in children and teenagers. Studies consistently find a positive link between a healthy diet and improved emotional well-being (O'Neil et al., 2014). As a result, NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) recommends that children and young people, especially those with depression, should receive nutritional guidance.
